Authorities Seek Women who Gave Away Rabid Kittens at Walmart
Animal Control Authorities in Henry County, Georgia, are trying to quickly locate anyone who adopted, or who had contact with any of six kittens that were given away by two women in the parking lot at the Walmart in McDonough last month. A man, who asked not to be identified, accepted an orange striped tabby from the women on the weekend of August 25, 2012, and brought the animal home to his family. He later told authorities that within days the animal started acting sickly. When he took the pet to be examined by a veterinarian, the doctor told him that the animal was rabid. It was so sick in fact that it was euthanized. According to state law, the man’s wife, who had been scratched by the animal, was quarantined for 10 days.
Authorities believe that all of the kittens are rabid, and that anyone who came into contact with the kittens has been exposed to rabies. Untreated rabies leads to death in animals and humans, usually ten to 12 days after the onset of symptoms.
Symptoms of rabies in cats can include fearfulness, aggression, excessive drooling, difficulty swallowing, staggering, seizures, self-mutilation, and increased sensitivity to light. In humans symptoms include paralysis, anxiety, insomnia, confusion, agitation, abnormal behavior, paranoia, terror, hallucinations, delirium, and fear of water. Treatment for rabies involves lots of shots.

Joseph Kony the founder of the invisible children.

Kony 2012 is an online vigilant campaign which aims to arrest the Ugandan guerrilla group leader and head of the Lord’s Resistance Army Joseph Kony before the end of 2012. The operation seeks to create viral media to raise awareness about Kony’s use of children as soldiers and sex slaves in order to urge the American government to assist the Ugandan military in capturing him.

Invisible Children

In the spring of 2003, three filmmakers Jason Russell, Bobby Bailey and Laren Poole traveled to Africa to document the genocide that was occurring in Darfur, Sudan. During their visit, they learned about the war against the government and the dangers of the rebel group’s control over civilian population. In 2004, they formed the non-profit organization Invisible Children Inc. in an effort to bring more attention to Kony and Lord’s Resistance Army.
On February 20th, 2012, Invisible Children uploaded a 30 minute video  titled “Kony 2012” which detailed Kony’s history followed by instructions for viewers to support the cause by spreading the video and donating to the organization. The video, directed and narrated by Jason Russell, features clips of his time spent in Africa and footage of Russell’s conversations with his son. The YouTube version was uploaded on March 5th.

The King Brothers

The King Brothers
On the Sunday after Thanksgiving in 2001, two Florida brothers, Alex King, 12, and Derek King, 13, bludgeoned their father, Terry King, to death with a baseball bat while he was asleep. The boys then set the house on fire in an effort to cover up the crime. The brothers confessed to committing the murder, but implicated 41-year-old convicted child molester Ricky Chavis, who they said was involved in a sexual relationship with Alex and persuaded them to kill their father. Alex and Derek pled guilty to arson and third-degree murder and were sentenced to seven and eight years in state prison, respectively. Ricky Chavis, who helped the brothers avoid arrest after the killing, was sentenced to 35 years after he was found guilty of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and evidence tampering.
